Today is part 3 of 3 for our expedited home study. Steve and I have both had our one-on-one interviews with our absolutely delightful social worker Liz, and tonight she comes to our home to see where we live, how we live, chat in an informal setting with us as a family. Think I'll do housework today!

As each day brings the reality closer and closer, we get more and more excited. Molly and Sue have 'excited jeebers' most of the time and can't help themselves from making a few purchases here and there of 'things for Ai Li', travel doo-dads, etc. As soon as we figure out how to post photos, this page will be more interesting.

Need to get our immunizations handled for travel and look into some language CD's to learn what we can.

Introduction

We are the 4 Hubers. 2 + 2 = 4. Molly and Sue met Steve and Cody - there was friendship, then love, then marriage, then poof! instant family of 4. Well, 6 years later we 'hear the call' and now we're changing the equation to 4 + 1 = 5. Our +1 is Ai Li, and she's in Zhu Hai City, China and we're doing all we can to speed up paperwork, etc. to bring her home.

2009 was the chosen year to take Molly back to China for her homeland visit when she turned 12. Well - it's happening a bit sooner. What we'll do is tour parts of China before meeting Ai Li - hopefully before her 10th birthday in March.

Most of our documents are completed. Agency has most of what they need from us, our homestudy is almost done and our I-600A has been filed at CIS. It's not so hard when you're doing, doing, doing. It's really hard when you're waiting, waiting, waiting to hear/know something.
